Importance of Gratitude
This morning I was having morning tea by myself around 1030am. While I slowly took my time chewing and savouring the Roti Sambal Udang (aka chili prawn paste french toast), I was also observing my surrounding tables. No I’m not sitting at those fancy multinational coffee franchises, just a humble coffeshop. I noticed that those folks sitting around me were retirees having their morning tea too. I suppose the older folks had an early breakfast and are hungry like me now. But the point is…where are my peers? There wasn’t anyone around my age group taking their morning tea.
As I slowly sip my hot milo, I realised that having morning tea at 10-ish is a luxury itself. As this thought sink deeper, I noted that everyone, including me, in our daily hustle and bustle take everything for granted.
We have our goals and expectations, and we work mindlessly hard towards it. In the process we forgot why we set our goals in the first place. We don’t stop and take stock of what we already have and appreciate what we’ve accomplished.
Assessing my life, I realised that I have precious friends who helped to enrich my life. Friends who are like minded in our aspirations. Friends who helped me along the way. They are treasures on my journey…

Got something to say?

Yah, fully agree on the point that we should treasure friends who help us along our journey. They are the treasures in our journey esp mentors who lift us up and share a lot of eye opening and mindblowing ideas with us. We need all this ideas to grow and expand further instead of continue to stay quietly at our comfort zone.
Cheers!
